Music In My Life

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Music plays an important part in my life, bringing back memories, creating associations, influencing mood and feelings and sometimes even helps to overcome hardships. As for me every style of music is important in its own way, and there is no bad music, there are only poor listeners.music2

My mom is a piano teacher and she always used to say that music helps her to renew old feelings and memories. She used to play me Beethoven and Mozart, and though I was just a kid, I really liked listening to it. Somehow from this point classical music made me feel secured, protected and loved, it made me feel like I am a child and this feeling arises even now, though many years have passed. So when I go to the classical music concerts, this music brings me back in my childhood, in my living room, and I see my mom playing and myself, sitting on the floor in front of the piano looking up at my mom with astonishment.

Pop music and dance music make connection to my friends. Every song I associate with an event, like a concert we went to together with my friends, or just with a person. Pop and dance music remind me of all those fun moments I have spent with my friends, it makes me want to move, to keep on going. So when I feel weak, lazy or lethargic, only this kind of music helps me to get back in shape because it fills me with only positive and happy emotions, emotions that make me think of my friends.

Honestly speaking I used to believe that rock music brings only negative emotions, and it indeed irritated me much, and could even get me into a bad mood. I must confess that I never liked it, because I could not understand how some people can relax listening to such harsh sounds, while I could only be depressed by them. But recently I discovered, that the same music can bring different emotions to different listeners. I could not relax listening to rock, but I found out it can be an excellent way to express negative emotions, and thus to lift my spirits. When I am angry I turn on some rock band on top volume and start moving, for example cleaning or just doing some labour work, and after 20 minutes,in spite of tiredness I feel releived, forget all offences and just feel good.

Dallas DWI attorneys

Monday, November 16th, 2009

I was talking to my friend Adam. He was having a good and consistent record of winning criminal cases. He was in this domain since pasat three four years. He handled all types of criminal cases. He was specially interested in reducing crime rate in the city so that people can live a beter life. He knew . it is a difficult task, but he did it. He said when he was small kid, from that time he was thinking of the same. He said to his father why people do crime? Can’t they in peace and harmony? His father Mr. Anderson Dallas DWI attorneys was very dynamic. He said look Adam this is not possible. Every time there is a peace there is going to war and when there is war thers has to pace. War and peace, both go hang in hand.

To the plea of peace and harmony, Dallas DWI lawyers also gave support. They sent a written note to district collector mentioning that pplease urge city people to keep peace and harmony. It is very necessary to increase awarness about it. People immdiately came up to his office and confirmed that they also wanted to maintain pease. They they started to discuss, how and what are the ways to achieve it? Somebody said all people should meeet once once in a week and decid what to do for this week. I think tghis idea was successful and everybody starteed gathering in a nearby garden andwas able to meet each other atleast in a week. But to my surprise everybody started meeting twice a week. It was a nice initiative from Adam. So because of these meetings crime rate stared reducing and people were also able to live a better life. It was a nice celebration day, when people are celebrating ‘Get Togher Day’ in Dallas now. I was a part of the same once when fortunately I was there with Adam last year.

How to Get Videos on Your iPod

Monday, November 16th, 2009

Your collection of DVDs, home movies, and Mac-recorded TV shows is also perfect fodder. With the right software, you can quickly convert these movies into iPod-compatible files and take them with you on your morning commute or your next holiday.

Although music continues to be the primary focus of iTunes Music Store, it’s not the only thing you’ll find there. In addition to offering audiobooks and podcasts (both audio and video), iTunes also gives you access to animated shorts, music videos, and more. If you have a video-capable iPod, you can even take your video on the road catching up with the latest episode of your favourite TV show while at the gym, or learning new photo-editing tricks while on the bus to work.2

But the addition of video brings new challenges. For example, you can’t just drag home movies onto your video iPod and expect them to play. You must first convert them into the right format. And the videos you download from the iTunes Music Store come with their own limitations. Here’s what you need to know to download, organise, convert, and play video files in iTunes and on your iPod.

Finding Videos

To pursue what’s available on iTunes, go to the Music Store and select ‘Music Video’, ‘Movie Trailers’, or ‘Pixar’ from the Inside The Music Store column. Video downloads will set you back £1.89 GBP, although when TV shows become available you’ll be able to buy a Multi Pass that enables you to buy entire seasons at a discount.

You can also find free videos on the iTunes Music Store, in the form of video podcasts. To access them, click on the ‘Podcasts’ item on the Music Store home page, and then click on the ‘Video Podcasts’ button in the centre of the Podcasts page.

As with audio podcasts, you can add video podcasts to your library simply by clicking on the ‘Subscribe’ button. If you want to download just one episode of a podcast, click on the podcast’s title and then click on the ‘Get Episode’ button next to the item you’re interested in.

Managing video purchases

Downloaded videos will appear alongside your music tracks and podcasts in the iTunes library. You can distinguish them from other files with the help of the small grey video icon that appears after the title. To see all your videos in one place, click on the ‘Videos’ item in the ‘Source’ list.

The downside of video

Video download times aren’t particularly speedy and you will need a broadband connection to get the content. Then you can expect to spend about three minutes downloading a four-minute music video. Downloading a one-hour TV show (about 44 minutes without commercials) could take as long as 40 minutes, depending on your hardware.
